Jelly Legs is a running game you play with your body: your camera sees you run, jump and squat in place.
This page says what the game keeps about you, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.
At a glance
- Your camera picture never leaves your devices.
- No ads, and we never sell your data.
- Play as a guest: no email needed.
- Ask us any time to delete your data.
Your camera
The camera picture never leaves your devices. The game finds your body in it on your own device and keeps nothing of it: no photos, no videos.
When a phone is your camera, or shows the game on a TV, the picture goes straight between your devices over your Wi-Fi. Our server only helps them find each other.
On your device
Your progress, settings and items are saved in this browser. Clearing its data deletes them, unless you have an account, which keeps a copy online.
Playing online
Online races, friends and leaderboards go through our server. It keeps the name you pick, your flag and look, your rank and race results, your friends, and what you have played (time, distance and moves).
Other players see your name, flag, look and rank, and how you race.
To run the game, fix bugs and stop cheating, the server also notes your browser, system and language, and your internet address with the rough place it points to (city, region, country and network). Only our team sees them, and each visit replaces the last.
Accounts
You don't need an account to play. An account keeps your progress safe and lets you sign in on your other devices: with a passkey, a code sent to your email, Apple or Google.
- A passkey stays on your device. Our server keeps only its public half, which can't sign anyone in by itself.
- An email address is checked with a code before your account gets it. It is used to sign you in and to email you about your account.
- Apple and Google give us only an ID for this game and your email address. Apple can hide your real address behind one of its own.
- We never see your passwords, your contacts or anything else in your Apple or Google account.
Emails
We email sign-in codes, changes to how you sign in, sign-ins on new devices, receipts, and friend requests that come while you are away. Friend requests and sign-in alerts can be turned off in Settings or with the link in each email.
No ads, and your address is never sold or shared.
Payments
Gems are paid for through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. We keep what you bought, when, the price, and the email for your receipt.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare runs our servers, sends our emails and counts visits without cookies.
- Stripe takes payments.
- Apple and Google sign you in, if you choose them.
- Google Fonts serves the game's fonts.
Each has its own privacy policy. We don't sell your data, show ads or follow you around other sites.
How long we keep it
Your online data is kept until you ask us to delete it, and in our backups for up to 90 days after that. Reports of what went wrong in a game (the error, your browser, system and country) are kept for 90 days; of the reports a game sends when it fails to start, only the latest few.
Your choices
- Change your name, look and flag in the game, and your email on your profile, under ACCOUNT.
- Turn off friend request emails and sign-in alerts in Settings, under EMAILS.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it with your account. We answer within 30 days.
Where the law gives you more rights, as in the EU and the UK, you have those too, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Anyone can play as a guest without giving an email. Accounts with an email, Apple or Google are for players aged 13 or over, or the age your country sets. A parent can ask us to delete a child's data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
